New Year Resolution

It’s been a long time - well not really – since writing a resolution. Being in a foreign country, my resolution would naturally have connection with the country I’m currently in. Firstly, I hope that I will be able to adapt to the new country and environment well, so that I can concentrate on my studies and continue excelling in it, besides having a fun time here as well. I do not hope to get top positions in class, but I hope I can be in the top 10% at least, since I’m in a very competitive country. I want to enjoy life and make use of all the time and opportunities presented to me, to make this studying in a foreign country a good one for me, though it is not the first foreign country I’m studying in.

Secondly, besides academics, of course I wish to excel in the other area of my talent, which is performing arts. Even though I don’t have much access to dance clubs in school, I will hopefully be able to find a dance school and continue dancing my heart out. I hope to have my injury fully recovered by this year, though it seems unlikely. It feels like I’ve torn my muscle permanently. I also hope to be able to play in a chinese orchestra. Playing music makes me feel so light hearted and good.

Other than that, I like sports too. I want to get all my jumps by the end of this year, without the teaching of a coach. It seems a very high ambition, but I believe I can do it. As for my other love ie tennis, I guess I’ll have to try harder to find a tennis partner to play with. I can’t be playing alone, I might as well be playing squash then. I want to master my serve in tennis. It still feels feeble.
